Dr. Ravindra Uppaluri, MD, PhD is the Director of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He earned his MD and PhD from the University of Minnesota, followed by an Otolaryngology residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Uppaluri served on the faculty there for 16 years before transitioning to his current role.



Dr. Uppaluri specializes in the multidisciplinary management of head and neck cancers, with expertise in minimally invasive transoral laser microsurgery and both endoscopic and open approaches to anterior skull base pathologies. He has served as the principal investigator for clinical trials integrating small molecules and immunotherapeutics into the surgical management of head and neck cancers. Additionally, he leads an NIH-funded laboratory that focuses on basic and translational research in head and neck oncology.
