Dr. Marilyn Heng, M.D., M.P.H., FRCSC, is a Professor of Clinical Orthopaedics at the University of Miami Health System and the Miller School of Medicine. She specializes in orthopaedic trauma, amputation, complex limb reconstruction, limb lengthening and deformity, as well as metastatic bone disease and pathological fractures.
Dr. Heng brings extensive clinical and academic experience, having previously served as an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School from 2014 to 2022. She completed her medical degree and orthopaedic residency at the University of Toronto, followed by clinical fellowships in orthopaedic trauma at Massachusetts General and Brigham & Women’s Hospitals, and orthopaedic oncology at the University of Toronto.
She also holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Board-certified in orthopaedic surgery in both Canada and the United States, Dr. Heng’s research focuses on patient-reported outcomes, fracture outcome measurement, and innovative amputation and peripheral nerve techniques.
