Jahan Mohebali, MD, MPH, is a vascular surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and assistant program director of the Department of Surgery’s Residency Program. He specializes in both open and endovascular aortic surgery, with particular expertise in complex aortic disease, including dissections, connective tissue disorders, and aneurysm repair.


He completed his surgical training and vascular fellowship at Mass General and Harvard Medical School, later joining the faculty in 2019. He also earned a Master of Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.


Dr. Mohebali’s research focuses on the surgical and long-term management of aortic disease, database-driven outcomes studies, and device innovation, including the development of a “smart” wire for endovascular interventions. He is an active member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
