Asa Margolis, D.O., M.P.H., began his medical career more than a decade ago as a prehospital care provider. He completed a fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he had previously finished his residency and served as chief resident.


He is currently an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins and the Program Director of the EMS Fellowship. Dr. Margolis serves as the Medical Director of the Johns Hopkins Lifeline Critical Care Transport Program and as the Associate Medical Director for the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. He also continues to collaborate closely with multiple local, state, and federal agencies in his role as a medical officer at the Johns Hopkins Medicine Center for Law Enforcement Medicine.
