Internship

Through an observership program, we provide an opportunity for medical practitioners from Ukrainian medical institutions to develop transferrable medical skills via observerships at Harvard-affiliated hospitals. Invited scholars study with committed mentors typically for 1-3 months, developing knowledge and skills necessary to advance capacity for improved medical care and services in Ukraine.

Internship

Our research initiative unites the efforts of researchers, physicians, residents, and students from the USA, Ukraine, and Europe in various specialties. Our mission is to empower healthcare providers with the knowledge and application of scientific methods to improve outcomes. We explore emergent challenges in Ukrainian healthcare to define areas for improvement and develop data-driven strategies.

"Our cooperation with the GMKA team began in 2022 during the meetings of the ECO-ASCO Special Network: Impact of the War in Ukraine on Cancer”. From the very beginning, we were united by a common goal - to improve medical care for cancer patients in Ukraine. One of the key results was a joint study with GMKA, OncoHub, and the National Cancer Institute that analyzed the availability of medical services during the war. Its conclusions became the basis for our advocacy activities. We are grateful to GMKA for their professionalism, openness and support of patients even in the most difficult times. Only by joining forces can we achieve changes in the healthcare system."

"The Forum “Women in Medicine: Professional Growth and Leadership” organized by the GMKA team was an inspiration and an important experience for me. It brought together women who want not only to develop in the profession but also to change the healthcare system in Ukraine for the better. It is a great honor and responsibility to be a speaker at such an event. The difficulties and challenges faced by women in medicine are similar, so it is very valuable to share my own experience and see how it inspires and supports others. I am glad that GMKA creates not just events, but formative platforms for important discussions, networking, and real change. These are initiatives that have a powerful impact on the Ukrainian medical community. Thank you GMKA for you and all your ideas that support, motivate, and make you feel that you are not alone with your challenges."

"The NGO Global Medical Knowledge Alliance plays an important role in supporting Ukrainian doctors and physicians by providing them with access to up-to-date medical knowledge and practical resources. Their guidelines, developed on the basis of evidence-based medicine, help doctors and nurses make informed clinical decisions in challenging circumstances, including during war. The organization promotes the professional development of Ukrainian medical professionals, providing tools to improve the quality of care and save lives. It is a valuable resource for the entire medical community of Ukraine."
