The Founder of Global Medical Knowledge Alliance (GMKA) spoke at the European Cancer Summit
Nelya Melnitchouk, the founder and president of the public organization “Global Medical Knowledge Alliance” (GMKA), participated in the European Cancer Summit 2023, which took place on November 16-17 in Brussels, Belgium.
Dr. Melnychuk was a speaker in a panel discussion on “Oncological Assistance in Crisis Situations.”
Together with other speakers, Nelya Melnitchouk discussed the treatment of oncological diseases in crisis situations and collectively sought solutions that would contribute to supporting the healthcare system during the war in Ukraine.
“First the pandemic, and later the war, have significantly affected the capacity of Ukraine’s healthcare system, particularly in the treatment of cancer patients. Therefore, it is crucial to include Ukraine in the global plan to support cancer patients, which the European medical community is working on, focusing on screening programs and improving the quality of medical services,” says Nelya Melnitchouk.

The founder of GMKA also expressed gratitude to those present for supporting Ukraine and the solidarity demonstrated by European countries.
“The Russian military aggression has posed a challenge to the oncological community in Ukraine, but through collective efforts, we will overcome it —both on the military front and in healthcare,” adds Nelya Melnitchouk.
