HealUA App Receives Support from Seeds of Bravery and Earns the European Commission’s Seal of Excellence
The Global Medical Knowledge Knowledge Alliance (GMKA) is proud to share that HealUA — our secure mobile platform enabling peer-to-peer consultations between Ukrainian clinicians and international medical experts — has been selected for support through the Seeds of Bravery Innovative Entrepreneurship program, funded by the European Union under the European Innovation Council (EIC).
As a Seeds of Bravery beneficiary, HealUA has also been awarded the prestigious Seal of Excellence badge, a European Commission quality label granted to projects demonstrating outstanding innovation and high impact potential. This recognition will strengthen HealUA’s ties to EU and global tech communities, opening new opportunities for collaboration with international investors, accelerators, and mentors, while supporting the platform’s expansion across the European Union and beyond.
“We are thrilled to see our platform — created to support Ukrainian physicians — continue to grow and integrate into the broader international landscape,” said Kateryna Potapova, MD, MPA, GMKA Co-Executive Director and HealUA Project Lead. “The Seal of Excellence affirms that we are moving in the right direction and building a meaningful HealthTech solution designed to save lives and improve patient outcomes by fostering knowledge exchange and capacity building.”
HealUA gives frontline physicians immediate access to expert support and shared clinical knowledge, helping them make informed decisions and improve patient outcomes under the most challenging conditions. Already used by more than 4,500 physicians across 40 specialties, the platform was honored to be selected as a Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Change Maker and to join the CGI 2025 Humanitarian Response cohort.
Support from Seeds of Bravery will enable GMKA to expand HealUA’s capabilities — including integration of instant AI-powered translation. This enhancement will streamline international collaboration, allowing Ukrainian physicians to obtain expert guidance faster and share their own clinical knowledge with greater confidence.
“HealUA was initially created to support Ukrainian doctors during the war, but it has since become a scalable solution with far broader relevance,” added Dr. Potapova. “We aim to reach low-income countries and crisis-affected regions where shortages of medical staff, experience, and training are especially acute. Access to knowledge saves lives—and through HealUA, that knowledge reaches those who need it most.”
