Emergency Care for TBI: Assessment, Treatment, Evacuation [Completed]

Neurology
Surgery
Before the full-scale invasion, Ukraine recorded approximately 120,000 cases of traumatic brain injury (TBI) annually. However, due to active hostilities, this number has increased significantly. To provide timely and effective care to patients, Ukrainian medical professionals need up-to-date knowledge and skills.
In response to this need, the Global Medical Knowledge Alliance (GMKA), in collaboration with Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center (Houston, USA), is launching a free online intensive course titled “Emergency Care for TBI: Assessment, Treatment, and Evacuation.”
The goal is to provide Ukrainian physicians with the latest evidence-based information on TBI management from leading U.S. institutions. The course consists of two online lectures in English, with Ukrainian interpretation. It is designed for physicians of various specialties involved in TBI care, as well as paramedics.
The course focused on:
  • Evacuation of patients with TBI
  • Stabilization of patients in challenging conditions
  • Prevention of complications during transportation
