The Aid for Ukraine

Supporting the continued functioning of Ukrainian healthcare during the war is a top priority for the GMKA team. We assist our colleagues on the frontlines and in medical institutions treating the wounded during Russia's aggression against Ukraine. With the help of volunteers from Heal Ukraine Group, we supply medical equipment, instruments, disposables, and medications across all regions of Ukraine. So far, we’ve purchased evacuation vehicle equipment, individual bleeding control kits, portable ultrasound machines, negative pressure wound therapy devices, surgical supplies, and more. GMKA ensures reliable delivery through established logistics networks and provides transparent reports to all donor partners.

«Thank you, GMKA, for providing access to the latest information and adapting it. I am convinced that Deployed Medicine offers one of the best opportunities for military trauma physicians to improve.»

«Military medical trainees usually seek additional information to improve their competencies and for professional development. However, they often face obstacles because the most relevant information is in English. Unfortunately, many students do not have a sufficient level of English proficiency to read the original text. Therefore, your project was invaluable. Translated materials are always at the top of my list of recommended resources. I understand how much time and resources it takes to create high-quality medical translations. Thank you again for your work!»

«Thank you so much for the medical instruments that I received from you. These instruments allow to perform surgeries precisely and less invasively. The instruments were distributed among the departments in need. Thank you!»

«We had severe trauma to the facial skull and a video laryngoscope saved us. We could not intubate without it. And without the intubation, the patient would have died. The patient was admitted with the following diagnosis: ”Penetrating fragmented gunshot wound of the left cheek; multi-fragmented gunshot fracture of maxilla and mandible with traumatic extraction of maxillary teeth. Lacerated wounds of the tongue. Fragmented gunshot wound of the nose with nasal bleeding. Soft tissue defect of the right cheek. Penetrating gunshot wound of the lumbar area. Perforating gunshot wound of the abdomen with the abdominal wall defect."The patient is severe, could not lie supine, with continuous nasal and oropharyngeal bleeding, cannot swallow, and cannot open the mouth. Here the videolaryngoscope made a difference. We successfully intubated, and surgeons performed abdominal surgery, tracheostomy, and facial surgery. I used ultrasound to insert the central line.»
