Dr. Elise F. Nassif Haddad is a physician-scientist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Sarcoma Medical Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, with an adjunct appointment in the Department of Investigational Cancer Therapeutics.



Dr. Nassif Haddad earned her medical degree in 2014 and specialized in medical oncology in 2020 at Paris University in France. She also holds a Master of Science in Immunology and a PhD in Molecular Oncology, completed under the co-mentorship of Professors Jean-Yves Blay and Hervé Fridman. Her postdoctoral research at MD Anderson Cancer Center focused on translational analyses of a neoadjuvant immunotherapy trial in sarcomas, conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Wargo and Dr. Roland.



Dr. Nassif Haddad is committed to providing outstanding care to patients with sarcomas, with a particular focus on leiomyosarcomas and undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcomas. She leads translational immuno-oncology projects, leveraging her extensive expertise in characterizing the immune microenvironment of sarcomas, particularly leiomyosarcomas. As chair of the MD Anderson Cancer Center Leiomyosarcoma Working Group, she oversees both clinical and translational efforts to advance outcomes for patients with leiomyosarcomas.
